How to get the Speckled Hardtear that temporarily raises all resistances in Elden Ring and heals all status ailments
Tarnished can use the consumable to mix and match the Crystal Tears within, each providing different buffs and effects.
The item offers players versatility as they discover the secrets of the Lands Between. Players can mix and match various effects and customize them to suit a variety of situations.
One of the most popular Crystal Tears that many players mix up in their Flask of Wonder Physick is the Speckled Hardtear.
Players prefer this more than other Crystal Teardrops because the item increases one's resistance to all effects and even heals all status ailments.
However, Speckled Hardtear is not something players can easily obtain. Hopefully, today's guide will be able to help those who are still struggling to get hold of the item.
Obtaining Spotted Hard Tears in Elden Ring
Tarnished will unfortunately not be able to take on the Speckled Hardtear early in the game. They will need to make some progress in the Elden Ring narrative and at least reach the Altus Plateau before obtaining the itemAdditionally, Speckled Hardtear is an enemy drop and players will have to face a pretty tough field boss to get their hands on it. Players are advised to upgrade their weapons and summons and put some Rune in their primary stats before attempting to get the item.
To obtain the Spotted Hard Tear, the Blackened Elden Ring will need to do the following:
- Gain access to the Altus Plateau. There are primarily two ways to do this. The best way to do this for those who are a little low in level would be to combine the two halves of the Dectus Coin to activate the Great Dectus Removal. One half can be found in a castle in eastern Limgrave and the other in a castle in northern Caelid.
- The alternative method is to go through a dungeon boss located north of Liurnia of the Lakes. The boss in question is Magma Wyrm Makar. Depending on the player's build and the number of Runes they invest to level up, the boss can be challenging. Beating him will automatically gain access to Altus.
- After reaching the plateau, the Blackened Elden Ring will have to head north towards Minor Erdtree. Players will pass by the Second Marika Church and Mirage Rise on their way to the location.
- Little Erdtree will be located near the Woodfolk Ruins. The Tarnished is advised to be very careful here, as the entire area is crawling with large hooded humanoid creatures that cause Death blight.
- After reaching Altus Plateau's Minor Erdtree, players will encounter the area boss known as Wormface. This can be a particularly tough fight, as Wormface is surrounded by small foes that can easily get together and take down players. The Boss also hits hard and causes the Death Blight, something Elden Ring Tarnished needs to watch out for. After defeating him, players will automatically be rewarded with Speckled Hardtear and Crimsonspill Crystal tears.
Speckled Hardtear is one of the best mixes for Flask of Wonder Physick when it comes to utility. When consumed, provides an instant +90 boost to Madness, Sleep, Frost, Death, Scarlet Rot, and Poison. It also removes status effects that the player may have been exposed to at the time. This effect lasts for three minutes.
