As Season 16, Season of the Risen, comes to an end, players are excited for Season 17 to come out. With Season 17 on the horizon, there's a lot gamers can look forward to experiencing in Destiny 2. But what can players expect? To see in the final season of Destiny 2? Here's everything we know about the new season of Destiny 2.

What can players expect to see in Destiny 2 Season 17?

Destiny 2 seasons usually last around 90-120 days, and Season 16 will want to end later this month when Season 17 begins on May 24, 2022. Players wishing to participate throughout the season can purchase a Season Pass. All the rewards that come with grinding all the activities and content it has to offer.

Changes to Raids in Destiny 2 Season 17

For the upcoming season, players will be able to look forward to an exclusive Rotating Raid playlist. This will allow them to complete weekly missions with special rewards and go through different raids in the game to keep things fresh and interesting. There will also be general seasonal rewards and Victories that players can earn by completing raids.
There will be some changes to PvP in Destiny 2

Players who enjoy the Crucible and Trials of Osiris will have a few changes to take advantage of. To shake things up a bit, a new PvP map will be added in Season 17. Additionally, Trials of Osiris players will see seven map rotations, with 1 map decided by player votes. Also, there will be some changes to the Adept weapons in the upcoming season.

Adding new dungeon content

The good news for players who like to dive into dungeons in Destiny 2 is that a new dungeon will be added in Season 17. Players will be able to experience this new content alone or with a group of friends. Additionally, players can expect more dungeon content to be added every few months.
Weapon crafting changes

While the gun crafting is a nice addition to the game, some players find it too brutal and too costly. With so much material to collect, it can be a bit confusing and expensive to craft the weapons players need. This new rework will make the process a little easier and give players more flexibility in terms of materials needed for crafting.

Upcoming weapons and sandbox changes

There will be quite a few weapon overhauls in Destiny 2's sandbox environment. Also, players will see new Nightfall weapons, including a new Ritual machine gun called Chain of Command. The new Season Pass Exotic will also be released with the new season.

Arc 3.0 or Solar 3.0 Potential

With the release of The Witch Queen, players saw the release of Void 3.0, a complete overhaul of the Void subclasses. This change added flexibility and customization to the Void tree. Although it has not been officially confirmed which of these players will see it in the final season, it is speculated that players will see the debut of Arc 3.0 or Solar 3.0.
