Diablo Immortal Graphics Settings Guide

This guide will show you the best graphics settings for Diablo Immortal for low-end gaming PCs. You will have a smoother experience in-game, and it might also help you eliminate various performance issues like FPS Drops and Stuttering, if you have any, of course.


Before we start, If you are a medium-high end user with a decent GPU, this article is most probably not for you. You can just max out the game. I myself was getting “Over 9000!” FPS on my RTX 3070.

Diablo Immortal is a free-to-play (MMO) action role-playing game (ARPG), developed by Blizzard Entertainment and NetEase. It is an online-only game, and the story takes place between the events of Diablo 2 and Diablo 3.


Though, Diablo Immortal kind of looks similar to the older titles, a lot of changes have been made in this game. For example – there is no such as “Mana” in Diablo Immortal, as in the old Diablo games. Mana and other class-specific resources have been removed from Immortal, in favor of a cooldown-based system for skills.


The game has been mainly designed for mobile devices. And you would be easily able to tell, as soon as you start the game on PC.


Overall, the performance of Diablo Immortal is great. I tested the game on multiple GPUs, and the game performed well on every single one of them. Even the GTX 1050 Ti was giving a constant 120 FPS in the game.


But, it is common knowledge, that a lot of laptop users play games like Diablo. And a lot of them don't even have dedicated graphics cards inside their laptops. They are most probably trying to run the game on something like the Intel HD graphics, and facing extreme performance issues in the process.


The good news is, that there is a graphics settings menu in Diablo Immortal PC that offers a variety of settings, that users can fiddle with. Let's check out the graphics settings guide for Diablo Immortal now:

Graphics Settings

• Frame Rate: 60 (Our target is constant 60 FPS without drops and stutters)
• Vertical Sync: Off
• Image Sharpening: Off (Image Sharpening does provide clarity in the game, but at the cost of performance)
• Quality Selection: Custom
• Visual Effects: Medium (I didn't notice any difference between Low and Medium. High, on the other hand, does affect performance)
• Shadows: Medium (Shadows don't really matter in games that are played in the top-down view. Medium is fine)
• Fog: High (There is no performance difference between Low and High)
• Post Processing: Off (I was witnessing some blur at some instances due to Post Processing. So I decided to keep this off)
• Environmental Details: Medium (High preset does put a dent on the performance, actually)
• Monster Effects: Medium (I kind of like the special effects that emit from the powers of the monsters. Also, you won’t notice any difference in performance between Low and Medium)
• Bloom Effect: Off (I personally don't like Bloom. You can keep this on if you want)
• Vegetation Burning Effects: On (During my entire play through of 2 hours, I didn’t notice any “Vegetation Burning Effects”. So keeping this on for now)
• Global Lighting: On (Doesn't have any effect on performance)

Note: The game has no option to change resolution on PC. It is locked at 1920×1080. Which is a huge letdown.

Performance Analysis

I was easily able to get 60 FPS constantly, on my ancient ASUS TUF Laptop, having an old i5 processor, and a GTX 1050 mobile GPU. I did notice some stuttering at the very beginning of the game. But that was most probably because of shader caching. Once it was done, I didn't experience any fps drops during my 2 hours of testing.


With the graphics settings given above, you won’t lose much in the “Visual” department, but you would be able to enjoy smoother gameplay.

If you are a PC user, with a GPU that is anything similar to something like the GTX 1050 Ti. I would say that you can run the game at maxed-out settings without any issues. Just set the Frame Rate to 120 or Uncapped, and enjoy the smoothness.
