Derelict Explosives The Cycle – The full release of The Cycle Frontier has finally taken place. Previously, the game was only available on the Epic Games Store. But it is now available on Steam, as well.


Now, it is no secret that The Cycle has a ton of resources scattered across different parts of the maps. Some are easy to find, while some can give you a run for your money.


The resource, Derelict Explosives, falls under the “not so easy to find” list. But you have to instantly pick, as there are not a lot of locations where it spawns. Despite being an “Uncommon” resource in the game, Derelict Explosives are pretty hard to come by.


Many players have complained about it being impossible to find in various regions and having a poor spawn rate in general. This article will discuss the locations and spawn rates of Derelict explosives in The Cycle: Frontier.


Derelict Explosives come in extremely handy when you need some crowd control. When there is a large group of fauna in front of you, just shooting your weapons won't cut it. You can use them for dealing with larger monsters, as well.

How to get Derelict Explosives in The Cycle Frontier

In Bright Sands, you can get Derelict Explosives at the Dig Site. You can also get some inside the Dumpsters and loot caches located at Jungle Camp. Other than these two locations, I didn't see Derelict Explosives anywhere else on the map.

Derelict Explosives at Bright Sands have a low spawn rate, and there are only two regions where you can discover them, starting with our initial level. However, just because you have the liberty to not pick them up, doesn't mean you shouldn't. These bombs are already scarce, so grab them whenever you can.


Crescent Falls on the other hand, unlike Bright Sands, has a decent number of locations where you can find Derelict Explosives. Because the map is so large, there's a good chance you'll find this item on it. Dumpsters and Hidden Stashes near Pinnacle Labs and the Shelves at Green Prospects have the highest spawn rate for Derelict Explosives.

Other locations include Lakeside Building, Base Camp Power Up Room, Geothermal Plant, Favela, Nutrition Farm Processing, Nutrition Farm Warehouse, and Starport Warehouse.


Dumpsters in high-risk regions are one of the most prevalent places to discover Derelict Explosives. Tier 5 dumpsters have the greatest spawn rates, with 5.13 percent. While tier 4 dumpsters have a 4.36 percent.
