As Capcom prepares for the impending launch of their latest fighting game, fans are wondering if they'll be able to try out Street Fighter 6 beforehand.


The fighting game community and general gaming fans have been reacting extremely well to all the official (and leaked) surrounding Capcom's Street Fighter 6.


With a much smoother development cycle compared to SFV, the next instalment in the iconic franchise will bring new mechanics, rookie fighters, and more mature versions of old fan favorites such as Ryu, Chun-Li, and Guile.


Capcom allowed multiple fighting games and other influencers to try out an early build of Street Fighter 6 at a private event, with the likes of Maximilian Dood showing palpable excitement that has spread out across the community. Furthermore, the developers revealed SF6 will feature both rollback netcode and crossplay.


With so much positivity surrounding Street Fighter 6, it begs the question: will Capcom release an SF6 demo or a beta?

Will there be a Street Fighter 6 beta?

Logic dictates that a Street Fighter 6 beta should come before the game eventually releases in 2023. It could serve a ton of purposes, including early game balance, testing online connectivity, and taking general feedback from the community.


As it stands, sadly, there is no beta or demo of any kind slated for release. Fans expecting announcements during the Capcom showcase should avoid getting their hopes up, as the developers have said that, following the closes demonstrations for influencers and media, the team will lay low for the next few months.

Unlike SFV, Street Fighter 6 will launch on multiple platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S / X.

Expect news on an upcoming closed or open beta sooner rather than later. In the meantime, stay tuned to Capcom's social channels for more character announcements and a possible release date for Street Fighter 6.
